With NY Fashion week ready to kick-off, it is always interesting to see a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to put on a show. Enter COACD, which is a glimpse into the world of a model casting director. Hot chicks and some male models thrown in for balance.

I usually won't get behind most of the new special edition footwear that comes out, strictly because there is just too much. However these Nike's paying homage to one of my favorite games, Skate or Die, pass the test. It is not that I like how they look, just that the game was so damn cool. Now I will wait for the Skate or Die 2 shoes, or Adidas Skateboardings 720 tribute kicks.

If there is one place where you are guaranteed to see a surplus of hot chicks in the world, it would be the immediate surrounding Bryant Park area during fashion week. To get us all in the mood for some major gawking, New York Magazine has put together an enjoyable read in The Top Ten Models to Watch This Fashion Week. Enjoy.

Check out Penguins new watch, Penguinator Gold Digital Dual Time Watch, and no its not bad photoshop. I kind of like it in a weird way. Features include:

Oakley, has always been associated with, well lets just say, jerk off's. And they are staying true to their history. Medusa hat and goggles from Oakley. "The ridiculous hat goes for a paltry $500 and the bug-eyed goggles for $250 -- a steal. I can't imagine who in their right (or wrong) mind would ever, ever, ever buy these monstrosities." Via Geekologie

For Original Fake's Spring/Summer line, Kaws reached out to Brooklyn Artist Mark Dean Veca. His interpretation of the chum reminds me of Jim Phillips designs for the Rob Roskopp decks of the late eighties.

I would do this piece of dopeness a disservice if I described it any other way than it already is.
"This ring is 24k gold plated, and was made in a very small quantity in bali by my homie, chance. they are pretty big and fit an average size dude finger, roughly a size 8. If you have one of these you can instantly score with babes, and really do damage to someone if you punch them with it. "

You have to love pieces of jewelry with name Hooker Medallions. Natalia Fabia, whose show Hooker Safari is now on at Corey Helford Gallery in LA, created these limited edition Hooker Medallions for daily wear and strut. Hooker is such a great word.

The new North Face 485 series contains the slickest black jackets I have seen in ages.

I know its fall, and we are heading for winter(I hope), who knows what to expect with the global warming thing. The fashion industry is up in arms on what to wear, dear lord!

In the beginning you stole music, now you steal the images. Via Men.Style, Brendan Donnelly, the designer proclaims " ....Homemade—and definitely not band-approved. "I guess I'm going to keep going until I get a cease-and-desist order,". It's a great idea and the shirts look cool, but after I saw the model in the photo of the Joy Division shirt, I felt ill. She annoyed me so much that it made the products look "tried" to me. It looks like he found his models off of Bedford avenue. So to recap, the shirts look cool but..... his original designs(non-band logo art) are much better and worth wearing!

This was announced in July but, I have to say this would have been the best gift ever when I was 10! Now that I am an adult it would still be the best gift ever but, I don't know if I could wear it out of the house. Maybe to a convention?

It seems these days ever rap artist/music artist has a clothing line. Now, the new thing is to have a phone. Prada, did it, Zac Posen designed something for Nokia a while back and now Armani whipped up this little gem. The Giorgio Armani-Samsung phone is a mere 10.5 mm in thickness. It will be available in selected mobile phone stores and Giorgio Armani boutiques in major European countries from November 2007, with expansion to other markets planned for 2008.
I predict we will someday be able to have multiple phones then I can decide what looks best with my Prada suit, My samsung Armani, or my Prada cellphone.

Taking inspiration from "the duke of windsor", Belgian Bruno Pieters autumn/winter mens collection (his first mens collection) reflects a contemporary fitted silhouette, with the mix of breeches, bowties, and three-piece suites offset with skinny pants, and reconstructed trench coats. Bruno has recently been appointed the art director for Hugo Bosse's edgier Hugo line. He has filled the gap where cloak left off.

In God We Trust is our favorite Brooklyn Store. Or is it now our favorite Soho store? IGWT opened their second store in Soho this summer, which seems to be the new trend amongst Brooklynstores. Start in Brooklyn expand to Manhattan. Anyway, they have been bestowed the honor of being on one of the best shopping streets in NYC. Owner/designer/creator Shana Tabor, creates amazing jewelry from axes to dagger to gold teeth, as well as beautiful clothing for your girl. Also there is men's denim and dress shirts. In God We Trust also features a bevy of homegrown Brooklyn designers. So if you are out in the city this weekend stop in and tell them the twbe has spread the word. To learn more check out this editorial piece on refinery29.

Our first muse, Gemma Ward is on the cover of I-D magazine, titled "Grow UP", she is a pretty one I tell you.

If you were Damien Hirst would you put your brand name on a jean? I wouldn't question fattening the coffers some more. Damien Hirst has designed a collection of jeans for the Levi's x Warhol Factory brand. Looking at this detail above, you can see the skulls that look to be bedazzled onto the fabric. I hope they're bedazzled. The collection debuts during New York Fashion Week at a runway show in no other than Larry Gagosian's Chelsea Space. via, HighSnobiety

Lucky Locket Lingerie was created by Central Saint Martins graduate Maggie Shcreiber. The LLL line is geared toward her lifestyle, "tomboys like me, the kind of girl who skates by day but might rock a pair of stilettos by night." Note there is a disclaimer.... "My lingerie is not really suitable for voluptuous girls; it's more suited to skinny Kate Moss types." Available at Coco de Mer, 23 Monmouth St, London Wc2, 020-7836 8882.

Debates will certainly revolve around whether or not they phoned this one in, but from our perspective it's quite an excellent collaboration. Peter Saville and Paul Smith have created an extremely limited-edition commemorative shirt for the release of Anton Corbijn's new Ian Curtis biopic 'Control.' The design references the "pulses of a neutron star," as featured on the cover of Joy Division's 'Unknown Pleasures.'

David Choe is pledging love to the punanny on this new shirt for the Fifty24SF fall line at Upper Playground

Looking for the next big thing? Antenna magazine has finally launched their website. Check it out, you can find exactly what you don't know your looking for. From the hipster T-shirt to the the chrome vans. The magazine comes out seasonally but the site is updated regularly. Plus, instead of just posting a comment on each product you can call in and leave a message about how cool everything is.

First we had the Simpson's, then the Hilton's and now the Miller's. Blonde sisters making fashion. The Miller girls launched their new fashion line Twenty8Twelve to a bevy of fashionable New Yorkers and designers. Why did so many designers attend? Maybe they didn’t get the memo from Phillip Lim; when Hollywood stars become fashion designers, real fashion designers lose out.

All I have to say is that this studded denim blazer is the worst execution of an idea that I have ever seen. I can only imagine Scott Weiland wearing this one, and it probably weighs more than he does wet. BTW, rumor has it there might be a 20th anniversary GnR reunion show in L.A., the missing link being AXL of course.

Shepard Fairey teams up with MC5 to bring the message. The collaboration which includes a signature military jacket, T-shirt and ballcap, is even more notable because of its otherwise dubious origins: a bootleg. When Shepard discovered the seminal Detroit rockers’ trademark white panther logo and assimilated it into a design of his own, the band’s Mike Davis took note and reached out to Fairey to make the it legit. To read more about this story and Mike Davis thoughts on Shep, check out supertouch.

The sartorialist empire grows. He started out with a blog, then men.style, then GQ, style.com, and now Wallpaper. A hobby of taking well edited photos of beautiful people on the street and putting them online. Scott has become the fashion source of the street. This is my favorite of the moment.

If you are a beachgoing lass or have a fine lady who likes sand, sun, and surf, this is just the bikini for you. Part two of this collaboration features some nice Kaws action in the form of a gold snake (they're so hot right now) graphic overlaid on some MOB black goodness. Available this friday, the bikini will look great just in time for the weekend.

An instant classic, this 99 problems t-shirt pays homage to the great Barry Bonds through some witty linguistics usurping Jay-Z's 99 problems song. This T-shirt is part of Upper Playground's Fall 2007 collection and was designed by illustrator Chris Wright.

Sisley's new ad campaign, features girls snorting dresses with a white powderd credit card and the misspelling of Fashioin. Its causing a fuss, but its "poetic license", regardless if you like it it makes you aware of Sisley.

Here at twbe, we receive many invites to all the posh events around the city, and I have to say this is one of the bizarre ones. The box came to us like a box of roses, but instead, we get carrots. This invite is for the Spring 2008 Press Preview for Mens Jewelry. the event is at the University Club. I wonder if they are organic.

It was only a matter of time before this style came back. Think of Native Tongues, Krs-One, and Spike Lee as the icons. A mix of jungle / back to africa patterns. Waiting for the hi-top fades and cut parts to creep back in. These vibes came from a new collaboration between Adidas and LA based UndrCrwn, featured are the Tracy McGrady model. Man I wish I could pull these off, Oh wait, I can

An interactive mirror allows shoppers to receive instant feedback on outfits from friends in other locations.
