Today Faile released their Puzzle Boxes to the world. Housed in a unique, handpainted and silkscreened hinged wooden box are 88 six-sided wooden blocks that can be flipped and moved to create new images and compositions. Always on point with their projects, a unique website and devoted iPhone app were released to complement the interactive nature of their new works of art as well.
Stereolizer is an internet radio app wrapped in the look of an 80′s stereo cassette deck. Might seem like a bit of a gimmick at first, but it’s neato simply because it records internet radio streams on the iPad and then lets you easily reorder tracks as you see fit.
Motorola’s Xoom will be available starting March 27th in a WiFi-only configuration. If you’re interested in this Android-flavored tablet, it means that you’ll be able to get your hands on one without bucking up for the 3G version.
If you were looking forward to Apple reveling about how we will subscribe to content in the future, you’re going to have to wait. Project Magazine must have gotten some nice marketing dollars from Disney, as they are running a contest to design an alternate version of their recent Jeff Bridges cover. Using their assets (or whatever you put together around the subject of Jeff Bridges and Tron), the top 20 designs will be showcased in a special issue of Project, with the winner designing the Project 2 Cover! Raising the bar. Richard Branson iPad only digital magazine Project came out this week. I like what I see. It’s not a groundbreaking experience, but it’s on its way. Compared to the current staple of digital magazines currently available, this one is a winner. You can shop the content, connect to the web for further reading and just enjoy it. The one interesting “experience” I am getting from this magazine, I feel like its content is only available here? Which makes it seem special.
