Public Ad Campaign tested out an app that the developed with The Heavy Projects: an augmented reality viewer that “runs on smart phones and virtually replaces outdoor ads with curated artworks by street artists Ron English, John Fekner, PosterBoy, Doctor D and Ox.”

This 200-foot high digital sculpture by Arne Quinze on top of the flame of the Statue of Liberty is the first work displayed in Beck’s Green Box Project. If you can’t see it, you’re not crazy. You need to download Beck’s Key which is a custom built augmented reality app for your smartphone.

If you can afford it ($399), this audio dock from Audyssey is the only audio dock that you should consider purchasing. Delivering some serious sound, it does everything you would ever need it to do, plus you can use it wirelessly with nothing actually docked in it. When it is docked, you can make phone calls from your bed or couch without really doing too much. The dock can also hook up to desktop, which means you can get some exceptional sound from whatever video or movie you’re watching. Today Faile released their Puzzle Boxes to the world. Housed in a unique, handpainted and silkscreened hinged wooden box are 88 six-sided wooden blocks that can be flipped and moved to create new images and compositions. Always on point with their projects, a unique website and devoted iPhone app were released to complement the interactive nature of their new works of art as well.

Planetary by Bloom is a pretty cool way to browse your music: Stars represent artists, planets are albums, and moons are songs whose orbital speeds are determined by the lengths of the tracks. All I have to say is my Radiohead System is going to be huge.
