Sure, I understand the benefits of having a virtual girlfriend…the on/off switch, low standards etc.. But, this is insane.  The Wall Street Journal reports of a down-and-out resort town an hours train ride outside of Tokyo, called Atami, where  “more than 1,500 male fans of the Japanese dating-simulation game LovePlus+ have flocked to Atami for a romantic date with their videogame character girlfriends.”  Apparently, guests have gone as far as paying for double occupancy in hotels there, just to make the experience more real. It’s definitely time to get into the LovePlus+ screen wiper racket.
