While looking for a Dickies video, I found the trailer to Killer Clowns from Outer Space which features a song by the Dickies. How the f@*k did this movie get the green light? Very disturbing. Wasn’t this the time of Howard the Duck?

Battleship the movie? According to The Movie Blog, it has the greenlight and scheduled for release in 2011. There is no clear storyline yet except for aliens.

I had a chance to see this last night, I wanted to like it more than I did.  It was 90 minutes of entertainment, so if that is what you’re looking for in a movie you’ll get it.   A homie next to me passed out for a good ten minutes, I think he was tired though.

The film has got a nice soundtrack to boot.

In the summer of 2008, iconic surfer and former Pipe Master, Rob Machado, flew to Indonesia to experience a different kind of surf trip. The journey ultimately took him way beyond his comfort zone, where he was finally alone with his thoughts, desires and the empty perfection of an unnamed Indian Ocean reef. What he discovered was beautifully captured in this autobiographical film.

This’ll be a good movie, opening this weekend.

We had a chance to see a screening of (Untitled) a couple moments back, and liked it enough to give you all the heads up about it.  Starring Adam Goldberg, a sexy Marley Shelton, Eion Bailey, Lucy Punch, and Vinnie Jones (as a mix of Maurizio Cattelan and Vinnie Jones), the film is based on the NY Art Scene in all of its idiosyncracies. We definitely recommend seeing its debut in theaters this weekend.  As a bonus, we have a package containing a full size movie poster and the original soundtrack for the movie to giveaway.  Since the movies tagline is “Everyone’s got an opinion”, watch the trailer after the jump, then give us your opinion in the comments.  Best one wins.

When I initially saw this short film by Spike Jonze, the sound was off.  While you’ll be able to watch it tonight, the story (with ending) is in these images above.  I feel like this could also be the dream Kanye had after the VMA’s.

Paranormal Activity, the Blair Witch of Ghost Hunter TV shows. That’s all I got to say.

A great cult classic from Australian Cinema. To summarize I will quote Chris Johanson, “Nature is Not Always Kind.”  Watch this, it is amazing.

The filming of Nobel Prize-winning author Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s latest novel, “Memories of My Melancholy Whores”, the story of a bachelor who for his 90th birthday decides to give himself the gift of a night of “wild love with an adolescent virgin.”… Never got off the ground. The movie has already been protested against and lost it’s funding without one “action”, being heard.

An anti-prostitution group is seeking to block production, charging the movie will promote child prostitution. But it seems the book was ok and would not have same impact as a film would, and eventually TV.

This is a very interesting story playing out. One thing to note, this is all taking place in Mexico where laws are a bit “different”.  Although, if we are able to censor ones work based on what one party thinks the possible outcome might be, I don’t know about you but that’s pretty scary shit.
