There’s some real quality work including a stunning Tiffany Bozic piece that she did as a commission for Nike Ceo Mark Parker.
Each tightly rendered painting is based off of a story told by one of Jeremy Fish‘s friends. Accompanying the work is a pair of headphones, equipped with said story. If you buy one of these pieces, you’ll never have to go about explaining it again as the work will do the talking for you.
A selection of works-on-paper and paintings on canvas “some never before seen” by the late, legendary artist Margaret Kilgallen (1967–2001). On view at Ratio3 in San Francisco until August 5th.

This super fun show featuring the Costaco Brothers sports posters (along with a couple Jeff Koons posters) from 1986 to 1990 is on view at Salon 94 Freemans. If you had one of these on your bedroom wall as a kid, pat yourself on the back for being such an early art collector.

Great, playful work from HuskMitNavn in his latest show at Allegra LaViola Gallery in the LES.

Tat Ito recently opened a solo show at Joshua Liner Gallery featuring a trove of new paintings. What draws me most to his work are the cute, little details that keep your eye wandering about for minutes instead of seconds.
White Flag is Cleon Peterson’s first solo show in NY, and it is a doozy. 14 medium to large-scale paintings that challenge the viewers, with violence and bloodshed. You’ll either love it or hate it… and we’re on the love side of this.
Nate Lowman’s most recent effort opened at Gavin Brown’s Enterprise and Maccarone at the beginning of May. As always, there is a line of subtle humor through the work which makes the viewing enjoyable. You can peep a making of his bulletproof glass piece here, and watch a friend & family testimonial (I’m your fan) after the jump. On view until June 18th, 2011.
It’s always a pretty great feeling to come across old art shows documented well on the internet. Thanks to Ratio 3 for keeping a nice archive.
On view at Galeria Cosmo in Barcelona until February 14th, 2011.
