This house in Germany was built upside down for a special exhibition. The designers went so far as to drill all of the furnishings into their proper places on the floor/ceiling. I would live in this house if they kept the furniture on the ground.

Iconic North American brands such as these give us both comfort and identity, yet we feel ambivalent or even negative toward their hegemony over our cultural and economic landscape. This quilt examines the problematic balance between familiarity and alienation.
