A documentary made by Shei Tan is about the Sikerei, a native people of an island in Asia who live cut off from the world, “in perfect harmony with the jungle that surrounds them.” In classic conflict, the government wants to push them out of their territory and into government villages, in turn selling the land to palm oil companies.
I saw this movie on Friday and have to tell you, don’t let the trailer fool you, Midnight in Paris is actually a good film.
