We caught a couple moments of director Charlie Ahearn‘s time prior to the World Premiere of his new film Jamel Shabazz Street Photographer produced with Kenzo Digital opening this Sunday (6/26) at BAM.
Cannot wait to see this documentary narrated by Lawrence Fishbone Fishburne.
“EVERYDAY SUNSHINE is a documentary about the band Fishbone, musical pioneers who have been rocking on the margins of pop culture for the past 25 years. From the streets of South-Central Los Angeles and the competitive Hollywood music scene of the 1980′s, the band rose to prominence, only to fall apart when on the verge of “making it.”

A documentary made by Shei Tan is about the Sikerei, a native people of an island in Asia who live cut off from the world, “in perfect harmony with the jungle that surrounds them.” In classic conflict, the government wants to push them out of their territory and into government villages, in turn selling the land to palm oil companies.
I saw this movie on Friday and have to tell you, don’t let the trailer fool you, Midnight in Paris is actually a good film.
