Evan Hecox has created a gorgeous new print enititled Montauk. Based off of image from the eastern tip of Long Island, the print has a really soothing quality. Measuring 16″ x 20″, the 5 color silkscreen is in an edition of 200 and available through Arkitip now.
House paint and wide brush tags done by teenage girls is awesome. The fact that cops put this video up on YouTube, not so much.
By far one of the stranger collaborations I have seen. Oakley sunglasses are usually reserved for baseball players, cops, or general everyday retards, but somehow they have made a collaboration with Robert Pimple happen. I dig the packaging and the bag, the actual glasses though are a stretch. Gold reflective lenses, bold. If you want to see these in person, Expect them in select retail stores the 15th of September.

The picture above is a preview of Aesthetic Comfort, in my opinion, the most exciting collaboration Arkitip has done since those great KAWS laptop cases. Ryan McGinness x Arkitip, sign me up.
Fugees, Ready or Not, 1996
This is the best looking album cover I have seen for quite some time. For Brad Laner’s new album Neighbor Singing, Josh Keyes got the tap to use a couple of his interlock pieces for both the cd and vinyl album covers. So clean. Buy the album here

Yimmys Yayo touts itself as “Visual crack for the ocular fiend” and that is exactly what it is. Strictly images that resonate, good taste.
Sadly, great art shows and installations cannot last forever. Closing this Saturday is Os Gemeos’ Too Far Too Close at Deitch Projects. If you don’t see it, you’re dumb. Or maybe you’re not in NY, in which case you can view our photo gallery here.

David Choe’s got talent. And I am a hypocrite. Click for huge and read more here.
Oh yeah. This is an entertaining site.
Ekosystem has posted a nice interview with Brad Downey of Darius & Downey. They have a relatively new book out published by Thames & Hudson which you should probably pick up.
Since the Olympics start soon in Beijing, what better search term than ‘beijing graffiti’?
