Cisco bought cameramaker Flip a couple of years ago, and has now killed the product in the name of corporate austerity. Too bad it was a profitable division. Even though its features are now duplicated by smartphones, it was still nice to have an HD video recording device that I was more comfortable dropping or passing around. And I guess I should have bought that Kodak ZX3 instead.

The Fuuvi Pick is a basically a USB stick that also happens to be a camera. 1280 x 1024 images, 720×480 video (at 30 frames per second) gets stored on Micro SD cards, with a F2.8 lens that shoots at 100 ISO.
