Available tomorrow, August 29th, is the print above Evolve to Devolve. The most anticipated print of the year, the edition will be released at a random time during the Friday, Labor Day Exodus. Will I be sitting by my computer anxiously awaiting the 5 minute window of opportunity? Probably not. But you should.

Banksy has been getting busy in the Big Easy (Say that fast 10 times). Jonnodotcom has a great flickr set of them all.
I am working on a new project for the site and am in need of a NY-based photographer (or person who likes to take pictures). It really won’t pay at all, but should be a lot of fun and maybe down the road I can pay you. One requirement: You need to be very personable.

When you click this link it will take you to an interview with Reas. He has a show opening up at Lazarides in London this Friday
Make your way to Southold, New York on the 30th for “Art Barn”. Featuring some of my old friends from School. Check it out it looks good. Find the new talent.
As most of the modern world knows by now, the Democratic National Convention is in Denver this week. Unveiled Sunday at the Manifest Hope show at Andeneken Gallery was Shepard Fairey’s latest work involving Presidential Candidate (& muse/source of revenue for many artists/designers) Barack Obama.
A great looking piece.
Thanks to Sean Ryan for the link to his Flickr, which contains more pics from the show.
While on vacaction, I stumbled upon this great documentary on war photography on a network that I did not know existed on tv, Ovation Tv. If it’s available near you (L.A. it’s now on 175 Time Warner), check it out. It looks like its pretty good. This documentry is amazing.
You have to man up to display one of these. Coming off in 6 colorways, the Scare Bear Prints by Ben Eine come in an edition of 50 and feature a combination of lithography, screenprint, and spraypaint. Available here
I really dig this print by Pure Evil, Sex and Moderate Violence Sells. It sure does.

Just in case you missed this on Wooster Collective, check out this sculpture of a white bear by Joshua Allen Harris. His work captures lost energy from a New York subway grate, alternating between roadkill and resurrection. It proves simple ideas can have a huge impact.

The inaugural Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival took place this past weekend at San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. If you were there, you probably noticed that the six stages featured some pretty amazing artwork by Thomas Campbell, R. Pimple (aka Barry McGee), Jeff Canham, Matt Leines, Monica Canilao, and Rich Jacobs.
Rich Jacobs, who has curated large group art exhibitions under the “MOVE” moniker for over a decade, was responsible for curating the stage artwork and was kind enough to answer a few questions for me via e-mail. [Read more / view photos at sketchypad.com]
The redux of the Cans Festival opened today featuring new work by Zeus (above), Connor Harrington, and Lucy McLauchlan amongst others. Alan Bee has a nice photostream of this on Flickr. Thanks to Pure Evil for the heads up!
