From the street to the sidewalk to the storefront, a corner of the Lower East Side was mobbed last night for the opening of Jay Miriam, Jeanette Hayes, and Jemima Kirke’s group show “Hearsay” at Half Gallery. Inside the gallery, the ladies presented new paintings that were strong enough to balance the beauty that surrounded them.

Openings & Parties: HERE WE GO AGAIN
Last night in SoHo there were more people lined up for a party at the adidas store than there were for the iPhone 5. What brought the crowd out was Ben Solomon and Nick Atkins’ curated show HERE WE GO AGAIN: A Visual History of the Past 3 Decades of New York City, an exhibition featuring works by Clayton Patterson, Elsa Rensaa, Bijoux Altamirano, Arab Parrot, Moredechai Rubenstein and many other New York artists. The crowd moved to the Stretch Armstrong provided music, the party flowed into the night as Christos Katsiaouni captured it all digitally.
Openings & Parties: Futura – Future Shock
A pretty awesome crowd was out last Thursday night as Futura opened up Future Shock, a show of large scale works in a temporary space on Washington Street.
The event was presented by Andy Valmorbida, and sponsored by RVCA Artist Network Program, VistaJet, and Bombardier Aerospace.
