Kitten Mittons

Chris Jordan’s photographs of albatross chicks were made on Midway Atoll, a  sliver of sand and coral deep in the middle of the North Pacific Ocean.This is pretty disturbing work, and the reality of it goes unnoticed. Check out the video after the jump.

What an interesting creature…

“often called “scaly anteaters,” (Pangolin’s) are covered in tough, overlapping scales. These burrowing mammals eat ants and termites using an extraordinarily long, sticky tongue, and are able to quickly roll themselves up into a tight ball when threatened. Eight different pangolin species can be found across Asia and sub-Saharan Africa. Poaching for illegal wildlife trade and habitat loss have made these incredible creatures one of the most endangered groups of mammals in the world.”

Savannah cats are a mixture of Serval and siamese cats.  The one above’s name is Magic and she holds the Guinness world record for the tallest domesticated cat in the world (17.1 inches from shoulder to toe.)
