For this installment of “Artist Eats,” we asked Kime Buzzelli to share her favorite place to eat. Kime is a Los Angeles-based artist known for her feminine, ethereal paintings, and her distinct style.

For his new show with Kime Buzzelli, and Albert Reyes at New Image Art, Kelsey Brookes created these two puzzle paintings. They’re pretty much magic.
“Each has 5 interchangeable parts which can be swapped out with each other (you can push the individual pieces out from the back of the frame using a pencil) making 25 unique paintings.”
Rooms is a new exhibition that opens up at Scion Space this Saturday (4/24) in Los Angeles. Curated by Roger Gastman, the show features 8 individual installations by artists Adam Wallacavage, Bill Daniel, Chris Stain, Dan Monick & Caitlin Reilly, Dueling VHS, Justin Van Hoy, Kime Buzzelli, and Rocky Grimes. I sat down with Roger via the internet and asked some questions.
Why “Rooms”?
I wanted to do something that creatively utilized the 4,500-square foot space at the Scion Gallery.

Opening this Saturday, The Way Things are Looking is a solo show by Suzannah Sinclair. Her work is so beautiful, it also doesn’t hurt that the girls she paints are in various stages of nudity.
