“By far my favorite eatery is Caffe BaoNecci, although I am not a S.F. local, if at will or way, I would certainly eat there weekly. I was first swooned by this Italian ristorante on New Year’s Eve last year. The city was loudly alive crawling with San Francisco natives drunk off wine and high on life, the air was crisp, and the time was too late for any restaurant to be open. Cold and very hungry, my girlfriend and I by accident ended up in North Beach and stumbled upon this warm and quiet cafe. We shared a romantic meal of Pasta Al Pomodoro, and Salamino piccante e Salsiccia pizza. The dishes are true Italian food as the restaurant is owned and run by a family of four who recently moved from Lucca, Italy. Chef Stefania cooks for you what she used to prepare for her family in Italy; these are dishes you would only find in Italian homes so it doesn’t get any better than Caffe BaoNecci.”
