This Is What It Looks Like When An Oil Pipeline Bursts

Similar to the scene from Friday’s oil spill in Alberta. There was also an oil spill in Alberta.

Completely dissimilar to the spill in Alberta on Friday. Different pipeline (the one in Alberta was underwater/underground), different cause, different volume, different company, different response time, different country, different DECADE. http://www.poynter.org/latest-news/regret-the-error/176718/photo-of-2001-alaska-oil-spill-goes-viral-when-magazine-says-its-from-recent-alberta-spill/

Why don’t you do a tiny bit of due diligence and post pictures and links of the actual story, instead of disseminating Common Ground’s entirely made up caption of a 11 year old photo? The Red Deer spill has been well reported by CBC, The Globe & Mail, and even the right-wing leaning National Post.

This is actually what it looks like when someone shot the pipeline here in Alaska with a high powered rifle.

    that’s technically a “burst” right?
