Artist Eats: Richard Colman


For this installment of “Artist Eats,” we asked Richard Colman to share his favorite place to eat. Rich is a San Francisco-based artist whose intricate, wildly creative paintings often feature decapitations and regurgitated rainbows.

“My favorite place is the House of Nanking in North Beach,” says Rich. “I’ll eat anything there, but normally I get the fried potstickers with peanut sauce because they are amazing, and the sesame chicken, which comes with these incredible yams on the side. I try to go there as much as possible and bring anyone I can there because Roger gets jealous. Let me know next time you’re in San Francisco, and we’ll eat there and make Roger mad.”
