Extension.fm is a Google Chrome extension that grabs mp3s from the sites you visit and creates an iTunes-like library of audio from the web, all inside the browser. It is indeed unique among all the browser plugins I’ve seen for Chrome so far, auto updating from sites that offer ‘mp3 of the day’ etc. I’ve been using it for a little over a month (since I switched over semi-exclusively to Google Chrome on all my machines).

It’s still in alpha version and invitation only, and it works beautifully. Developed by our friend Dan Kantor, the creator of Streampad and one of the original developers for Delicious.
