t-shirt of the day for a cause…

Leif Harmsen, a Toronto based artist is campaigning against Facebook.  After his group, “nude cyclist” was deleted from the Facebook world, Leif began campaign against the totalitarian state of Facebook. His main message to take away from all of this. You do not own your Facebook profile it’s not yours its FB’s.

“The more we come to depend on the site for socializing, the more Facebook controls our lives—and, by selling ads, profits from us”.

Inspected Gadget: The Puma Phone

The Pumaphone might not be immediately available, but as smart phones go, the idea of including a solar cell charging panel on the back of the device is perfect. Considering the heavy battery usage in the average day by most Blackberry, iPhone, and Android devices, it would be great to simply be able to lay the phone face down and collect some much needed juice from the sun. Out at the park? At your desk or in a car without any cables? This would be ideal. Via uncrate.

Lunchtime Laughter

Philadelphia

I went down to Philly on Saturday, stops included the ICY Shop and a ride along the Septa to look at the Love Letter Project.  Thanks to Mr. Lukas and Mr. Fosik for the hospitality, Mr. Rosenberg for the transportation, and Mr. Powers for saving me from a second cheeseteak.

Artwork from These Friends

Being on the East Coast, we’ve been wondering what all of the artwork from This, Los Angeles‘ inaugural show looks like.  Wonder no more as it is all on their flickr account here.  A sampling is after the jump.
