Inspected Gadget: Go Down With Richard Branson

Go down and go deep with Virgin’s non-air, non-space, exploration service – “Virgin Oceanic”. Richard Branson commissioned the “Necker Nymph” tri-seater open submarine vehicle to be built out of carbon fiber. Rent it for $25,000 per week. It is currently rated to dive to a depth of 130 feet. Virgin is shooting for a depth of 35,000 feet – which seems awfully frightening, unless there are plans for a more protective cockpit and backup breathing system.
