Banksy’s Exit Through The Gift Shop Reviewed

From the LA Times:

“Ultimately, the film offers a guerilla artist’s (if not documentary filmmaker’s) version of the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle — by observing an action, you affect its outcome.  And that, in a way, seems in keeping with the aesthetics of street art: It’s all about discovery and seeing.”

Finding a good polo is hard to do, especially if it’s not a Fred Perry. Original Fake‘s Spring 2010 line had this to offer, pretty nice.

Espo’s Love Letter Tattoo Shop

Espo gets up everywhere nowadays.

“Celebrating the release of “A Love Letter For You Brick Valentines On The Philly Skyline” book by Free News Projects, we’re doing a series of events in Philadelphia. The one I’ll tell you about here is I am taking over the Northern Liberties Tattoo shop for a week (more or less depending on demand), and the only artwork that will be on offer will be all Steve Powers, all week long. All your favorite icons, punchlines, poignant reminders of the futility of life, hilarious illustrations of our inadequacies, True depictions of true love from the Love Letter project, and of course, PIGEONS. Its all here, it’s cheap, its permanent. No, I’m not tattooing, no skills. I will, however, sign your arm and let one of the skilled pros on staff at Todd’s shop re-ink it, fair enough? Sometime during the week, we’ll be having a book signing at Exit Philadelphia Skateshop next door, watch the project blog www.aloveletterforyou.com for time and date.”

My prediction: Apple reinvents advertising too

Apple’s future, I read yesterday about Steve Jobs’ excitement for the release of his ipad and how proud he is of this moment. It is being spoken of as his greatest achievement, which made me start to think about it and what is possible.

Tesla Model S Electric Car becomes reality

Taking elegant touches from the Tesla Roadster’s body, the Tesla Model “S” sedan just came one step closer to reality due to a US government green energy loan. Expect 20,000 of these to be made and sell out in preorders in 2012. As far as pricing, it’s in the same range as the 5-series from BMW – $55K+. Performance is rated as 0-60mph in 5.5 seconds and the driving range is expected to be 300 miles, and will hit up to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds.

Tesla Motors started out by crafting a perfect blend of future energy needs and much needed adrenalin rush. Go after the lux sportscar set first to prove that an electric car has the energy and stamina to be worth six figures. 0-60mph in 3.9 seconds for the Standard Model and 3.7 seconds for the 2010 Sport Model. 300 mile battery range. Have Pininfarina (Ferrari, Lotus, Maserati) design the body. Sell out the first batch.

What’s coming right after the sedan? A smaller car, in the $20,000 price range.
