Thomas demand: a prototype of the real world

I recently was caught up on most of the podcasts from Monocle, and thought to tell you about this great interview with Thomas Demand I just saw.  Demand is a German artist who recently had a solo show addressing nationalism in Germany titled National Gallery at The Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin.  The amazing body of work was comprised of installations made out of paper then photographed. The models he creates are sterile, timeless fabrications of reality that make you question the relevance of the image and context as well as its reality. In the interview the artist speaks to his work and gives you an insight to his ideas, meaning and process. It is worth your time.
