Drunk romantics beware.

In the same space that had the drive-in and the ping-pong, arrives the Wedding Chapel.  Want to get married in NYC on the cheap, here you go.  First come first served July 10th through July 26th.  More info after the jump

Get Married this Summer!

“Wedding Chapel” is a plan to construct New York City’s most fun wedding venue. Wedding Chapel will offer couples the chance to have a memorable wedding without a church or city hall. Wedding Chapel clergy will marry loving couples at the Grand Opening storefront on 139 Norfolk street in Manhattan’s Lower East Side. But first we need your support to convert the Grand Opening storefront into a one size fits all chapel — It’s Vegas, the New York way.

Wedding Chapel will be the destination for making your wedding “yours”! Want to get married in 60 seconds? In the dark? While your favorite Journey song is playing? While reenacting the wedding scene from your favorite movie? We can do that, we can do weddings your way.

The Bells and Whistles of Wedding Chapel
-Live internet streaming to friends and family worldwide
-Services performed by a minister ordained by the Universal Life Church
-Seating for up to 20 people
-Staff photographer available
-Custom backdrops (have a wedding on an exotic beach without leaving the country)
-Street side post-wedding photo op
-Custom decor and accessories
-Great for vow renewals (bring the kids!)
-Mock weddings: For the fun of a wedding without the commitment of marriage
-Gay weddings: Have a commitment ceremony at 139 Chapel
-Makes a great gift!

Back Wedding Chapel now to reserve a Wedding Chapel ceremony, a Wedding Chapel photo, or a Wedding Chapel T-shirt. Wedding dates will be distributed on a first come first serve basis. Wedding Chapel will open on Friday July 10th and run until Sunday July 26th, but dates can be extended if enough interest exists.
