The Oona bench and Christopher Chair (above) are part of the “a family affair” series. The original chair, LS ( now Leefa) was made of solid maple, and was primarily an indoor chair. The second chair in the series, Christopher, is an outdoor chair made of aluminum and HDPE. The Christopher chair is cheap(er) to produce and is 100% recyclable. The welds are left on the chair to show off the skill of the fabricator, Christopher Williams.

This limited edition plate of a little squirrel rocking a thick gold dookie chain with acorn pendant is pretty awesome. As a matter of fact, all of the work Isabel Samaras created for her latest show at Shooting Gallery in San Francisco is awesome. Check out some more after the jump, where you will see a pimpin’ porcupine, a wize owl, and even some ghetto blastin’ birds.
Check out these very cool journals designed by Alessandro Esteri and manufactured by Nava Milano. One journal for each month, 80 pages per month, as well as one hole punched for each month. The journals are 3 1/2 by 4 3/4″ and have a moleskine look. They will only set you back $35.00. The downside…you have to wait until January to use them.

The 101-year old Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer had his first significant building erected at the age of 38. A 60 plus year career, Niemeyer is the perfect example of if you’re doing something you love, you can do it forever. This video makes me want to see Brasilia. Part 2 after the jump
Brooklyn-based photographer Elizabeth Rabb. Elizabeth works in Polaroid, 35mm, and medium format. It was hard to pick just one photograph, so we tossed in a few after the jump.
