In a recent interview with Glenn O’Brien for Interview Magazine, Supreme founder James Jebbia gives a little back story on the popular Artist series skate decks that Supreme has been producing.  One great quote in regards to the customers buying the decks stuck out to me because it is very true,

“It’s actually easier to get the art crowd, because they’ll buy anything if they think they can make money off of it.”

This leads into Supreme’s latest series by Damien Hirst which will enter stores and the internet later this year.  Based off of his Spin Series paintings, I wonder how he feels that each individual deck will only be $68? Welcome to 2009 Damien.
