Twbe, was on site at the Bblessing's opening last night, to witness, the douchery first hand. It was way crowded and a fire hazard by the time I made it in around 9:30. I had to tell the door boy my name six times, it was a groundhog's day moment, "what's your name? blah blah... Ok one sec and your in...what's your name? blah blah blah....Ok one sec your in... all this to stand but to nuts. The best part was listening to people beg to get more of there friends in. After making it in and grinding everyone just to get to the bar, which i recommend if you ever experience an a event like this, just stand at the bar, you need to keep drinking for free to convince yourself its worth the crowd.
The crowd finally thinned out and it became interesting, a great hipster watching moment. I never saw so many retarded hats in my life and the over the top b-boy jackets. The only cool people there were the ones involved with the bblessing event. The bartender, nice, proprietor, good natured. The hanger on's were the crazies.
This is where it got interesting, as Bon Jovi played (yes, its still 1980 I guess) some girl decided to climb the furniture in the back dance like she was on solid gold. As she was escorted out by the proprietor, a fight broke out, maybe not a fight, more like a the girl freaked out, started carrying on, and the next thing you know, someone gets sucker punched, the music stops, the lights are on, the parties over.......funny thing, all the beer was gone too. Oh did I mention there was some art on the walls too.

Watching the solid gold moment play out

Check out Earl's hat in the background, you would think he just rolled in from the worlds deadliest catch

Consoling the sucker punched proprietor

i was there last night with a friend of mine, due to the fact i saw the posting earlier in the week. since we dig exhibits along these subject matters, we rsvpd, and went. the photos were great, but the crowd real lame-ass. very few actual 'hipsters', and alot of young obnoxious kids, who thought they were too cool for school. plus all this 'let's cause a buzz/rsvp/guest list bullshit' was aggrevating. we had just been down in tribecca for another photog opening, and that was bad-ass. the crowd was awesome, filled with hotties, men and women alike. talk about 'model' behaviour.
