Alex Pardee has a great story on his blog about a false guardian angel. It is quite interesting and shows one mans battle and victory with superstition. I remember as a younger self that I carried one of those funny gnomes around in my pocket to ward off the Police and teachers (to much success). It did help that this was during those wacky years where I would wear size 40 jeans with the ultra-fat legs even though I was lean machine.
