halloween remake

I am not a big fan of remakes, and their ability to destroy the original's credit and childhood memories, (texas chainsaw...,hills have eyss...herbie). I do like Rob Zombie, and his love for pure horror films. The one and only time I met him was back in 95, in LA at a shop on Sunset with Phil Anselmo (of Pantera). Rob was buying film reels of old horror movies (Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff). He did not say much, at the time I only knew Phil. Plus, I thought it was strange buying "reels"... why would you want that? Twelve years later we have the remake trailer for Halloween which will be out this year, and I assume around halloween. If that is not a sign for the love of horror, and this trailer is not the sign, I am not sure what is.
